So I work at Bates and I work closely with the local schools and um, I find them to be places of just enormous hope, partly because I think kids are our hope for the future. And over the years I've seen Lewiston middle school really become transformed into an institution that works really hard to do the best job that they can do. on behalf of their students, but also on behalf of our students, Bates students who are just getting enormously life-giving, um, opportunities to learn and grow along with the middle schoolers.
