So this image represents my hope. This is actually a little caricature of myself running over the Bernard Lown  Peace Bridge as part of the Dempsey challenge. And the Dempsey Challenge is the first race I've ever run in. I trained for it for months and I actually wasn't sure I'd be able to do it. But I'm a cancer survivor and I wanted to find a way to meaningfully support the Dempsey Center. And this seemed like something an achievable goal. 
And again, I trained every day. My best friends made shirts for me and all the people who were there to support me. And as I came over the bridge, I saw them all wearing the pink shirts. 
My best friend's an artist, so he actually silk-screened all all the shirts. And it was just the most meaningful, rich experience. One of my favorite Lewiston moments, and I look forward to doing this again next year.
