I drew this on my wood circle. It is supposed to represent flowers and little plants growing in a sidewalk crack in the neighborhood by the Montello School. I went on a run around the neighborhood of Bates when I first got here, my freshman fall, and I was running alone and I was exploring Lewiston for the first time, and I really enjoyed seeing all the houses and the yards and looking at the school and the track, and I had run in high school for all four years. So it was something that brought me a lot of peace and that was really hopeful and excited about my time in Lewiston to come. I may not run as much anymore now, but I think it's definitely an action that can bring a lot of different people together and always provides me with hope. And I especially liked the color of the flowers growing out of the sidewalk crack. I thought they were, especially vibrant next to my purple running shoes. And so I chose to, you know, go for the symbol of something growing out of a crack.
